Your Weekly Joburg Guide
Festival of Motoring
Could it be? Spring has arrived early? Other than the occasional chilliness here and there, we’re thawing out quite nicely. Just a pity about the dusty August winds and the return of the wretched allergy season! Nothing Allergex and a box of tissues can’t fix. But other than that, we’re more than excited to welcome spring to the city.
Petrol heads, start your engines and race your way to the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit. The Festival of Motoring is back from 22 - 25 August, bringing motor fans four days of revving entertainment and family fun. Get your tickets here.
Need something to lift your spirits? We know just the event! The South African Distillery Fair will be heading to the South African National War Museum from 30 - 31 August. Taste, swirl and savour your choice from a rare selection of handcrafted spirits, admire the retired military machinery and enjoy the live music lined up on each evening. Don’t miss it.

Due to popular demand, KAMERS/Makers Joburg is returning to St John’s College from 28 August to 1 September for a Spring Celebration you don’t want to miss. You can expect everything from artisan crafts, design and decor delights to fashion, delicious food and plenty of inspiration. Also, don’t miss their opening night Moonlight Market on 27 August. It’s a must-visit this spring, so get your tickets now

It’s all about meat, fire, braais and feasts at the Fire & Feast Meat & Food Festival. This mouthwatering foodie extravaganza is heading back to the Ticketpro Dome from 6 - 8 September for another delicious experience. Jam-packed with celebrity chefs, flavours from all over the world, braai-masters and awesome live entertainment, there’s something for all tastes.

Whether you’re in need of a ladies weekend away to celebrate Women’s Month or want to welcome the new season with a bang, Emerald Resort & Casino is the place to be. There’s plenty of excitement lined up, including Speed Fest, a Family Fun Day to celebrate their 21st birthday and the chance to win an Emerald wedding worth R55 000.
